Jan advises clients on a daily basis with respect to the national and international tax aspects of compensation & benefits and human resources management in the broadest sense.

Clients can contact Jan with all their questions about the tax aspects of (international) employment (salary split, posting, expat statute, payroll, etc.) and various alternative forms of remuneration and remuneration packages (cafeteria plan, stock options, warrants, bonuses, company cars, social advantages, etc.).

Jan also assists taxpayers in preparing and filing personal income tax returns and non-resident tax returns. Furthermore, he defends their interests in dealings with the tax authorities, both in administrative and judicial proceedings.

In 2014, Jan obtained his Master of Law degree after which he obtained a specialised Master in Taxation at the Catholic University of Leuven in 2015. That same year he also obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy at the same university. Jan is a member of the Brussels Bar since July 2015 and started working at Claeys & Engels in January 2017.
