Barbara Heylen

Barbara advises clients on the different aspects of occupational pensions and assists clients with all pension related aspects of restructurings, mergers and acquisitions.

She advises clients and pension funds on matters relating to their structure and governance and drafts pension plan rules, bylaws, management agreements, contracts with external service providers, governance documents, etc.  She also defends clients in court in pension related cases.

Barbara has experience in coordinating the employment and pension related aspects of international projects.

Barbara is a regular speaker at internal and external seminars and also lectures the topic "Occupational pensions and remuneration" at the postgraduate pension program of the University of Leuven (KU Leuven).

She graduated at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in 1996. In 1997, she obtained a special degree in social law at the Université Libre de Bruxelles.  She has been a member of the Brussels Bar since 1997.
