Sarah Cluydts
Sarah advises both national and international clients on various aspects of Belgian and European employment law. In this context, she regularly pleads before the labour courts and provides guidance on a wide range of HR matters, such as the qualification of the employment relationship, social dialogue (social elections, status of protected workers, functioning of consultation bodies, etc.), restructurings, well-being at work, and more.
She has a particular interest in issues relating to privacy and the protection of personal data, as well as discrimination, including pay transparency.
In March 2022, Sarah obtained the Data Protection Officer certification from the Data Protection Institute. Since 2025, she has been a member of the “Diversity & Inclusion” Expert Group within the international alliance Ius Laboris and also serves as lead of the internal Task Force on pay transparency.
Sarah regularly speaks at seminars and webinars and is the author of various articles and publications.
Sarah graduated from the Université catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve as Master of Laws in 2013, during which she specialised in company law. In 2014, she also graduated from the KU Leuven with the complementary master (LLM) in intellectual property rights. Sarah joined Claeys & Engels in September 2014. She is a member of the French Association of the Bar of Brussel.
