Théo Jonckers
Théo advises clients on both tax and social security related matters, mainly in the areas of remuneration, alternative benefits and human resources in general. As such, he advises on a daily basis on various remuneration mechanisms, both in a national and international context, ranging from cafeteria plans, incentive plans, social benefits, costs proper to the employer, various regimes of exemption from payment of withholding tax, pensions, salary splits, secondments, special tax regimes (incoming taxpayers,…), etc.
Théo also assists taxpayers in preparing and filing their tax returns, both in personal and non-resident taxation. He also defends their interests vis-à-vis the tax administration, both in administrative and judicial proceedings.
Théo joined Claeys & Engels in September 2024 and has also been a member of the French-speaking Bar of Brussels since that date.
Théo obtained his master's degree in law with distinction from the Université catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve in June 2023. The following year, he also obtained a specialised master's degree in tax law with distinction at the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
