Today, one year after its publication in the Belgian Official Gazette, the new Employment and Social Security Criminal Code enters into force.
The Criminal Code brings together all criminal provisions relating to employment and social security, which used to be spread over a multitude of laws, into a coherent, readable and transparent whole.
In addition, the Criminal Code introduces a number of changes in the various stages of a criminal proceeding (i.e. from the preliminary inquiry to the final prosecution).
