Isabelle advises clients on a daily basis with respect to different aspects of occupational pensions and assists clients with the introduction, the modification and the harmonization of (industry wide and company) pension plans; drafting documents for pension funds (IORPs) and the implementation of the governance rules; setting-up (pan-European) pension funds; the aspects of statutory (early) retirement and occupational pensions with regard to end of career issues and early departure arrangements. She also frequently advises clients on the introduction of flexible benefits, cafeteria plans and bonus pension plans. She closely follows developments with regard to the CBA n° 90 bonus. Isabelle defends clients in court in pension related cases.

Isabelle is a regular speaker at internal and external seminars and has published numerous legal articles.  She is a member of the editorial board of "Life & benefits" (Kluwer).  She is also a member of IPEBLA (International Pensions and Employee Benefit Lawyers Association), BEPLA (Belgian Pension Lawyers Association) and the International Practice Group Pensions in Ius Laboris.

Isabelle is a member of the Brussels Bar since 2006. She graduated from the Law School of the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) with honors, after studying pedagogy, political and social sciences and anthropology. Prior to joining Claeys & Engels she was professionally active in the care sector.
