In its federal budget proposals, the government has announced a salary moderation for the period 2013-2014.At the end of last week, the council of ministers might have approved a Royal Decree that introduces this measure.
In practical terms this development means that the maximum increase of the salary costs will be set at 0% and that, as a consequence, only salary indexations and wage salary increases can be applied.
For the moment, other measures approved by the government with respect to salaries have not been revealed.
