Since 1 October 2011, the National Social Security Office accepts the possibility to convert meal vouchers into eco vouchers and vice versa.

Since 1 October 2011, the National Social Security Office accepts the conversion of meal vouchers into eco vouchers and vice versa.

No social security contributions will thus be due on meal vouchers that are granted or increased to replace eco vouchers, or on eco vouchers that are granted to replace meal vouchers. The general granting conditions for meal vouchers and eco vouchers remain applicable without modifications.

Granting meal vouchers or eco vouchers in order to replace already existing advantages remains prohibited.

This regulation will be confirmed by a Royal Decree. Pending this confirmation, it is already accepted by the social security authority.
