Martijn assists clients in various aspects of international employment, including labour and immigration matters as well as national and international social security and taxation.

He also assists employers in setting up and coordinating (international) (split) payrolls and assists taxpayers in preparing and filing their personal income tax returns. He also represents their interests in all dealings with the tax authorities.

As a working student, Martijn obtained his Master of Laws at the University of Brussels (VUB) in 2021, with specialisation in tax and criminal law.

Martijn started his career in 2019 as a consultant at a Global Mobility Firm. As of September 2021, he is a member of the Flemish Bar Association. In March 2022 he joined Claeys & Engels as a lawyer and became a member of the Brussels Bar.
