Ann advises employers in individual and collective labour issues and assists clients on a daily basis with respect to hiring, employing and firing employees. She has specialised in a number of sub-areas, including restructuring of companies with multiple redundancies, negotiations with the employee representatives, and the legislation regarding the wellbeing of workers.
Ann advises regularly regarding privacy and the processing of personal data in a national and international context.
She is a regular speaker at internal and external seminars and has published numerous legal articles. She is co-author of the annual publication "Actief Eindigen". Ann is also a member of the "Personnel Managers Club" and the "International Practice Group Individual Employments Rights" in Ius Laboris.
Ann graduated from the University of Ghent (UGent) in 1991. She obtained a special degree in labour and economic law at the same university in 1992. The same year she started her career as a lawyer at the Brussels’ Bar. Since 2000 she has been a partner at Claeys & Engels.
